Travelling away from home

Many drivers work far from home. Use a checklist to help you make a good choice when renting a room:

1. Check the motel/hotel.

2. Check out the room.
~ Temperature: Too hot - too cold?.
~ The bed: Is it comfortable?
~ Noise: Is the room truly as quiet as the desk claimed?
~ Security: Are you secure from fire and smoke? Is there a door bolt and chain?
~ After going through the checklist make sure you bring earplugs or a white noise generator like a running fan or an ecologizer.
~ Bring some small item from home to make the room seem familiar.
~ After finishing a long hard day on the road it is really important to wind down.
~ Try to minimize stresses in your life.
~ Get rid of your sleep debt. Sleep debt adds up.
~ Plan your time off to ensure that you can accumulate enough extra hours of sleep to cancel the debt.

I sincerely hope these tips have helped and you have had a good sleep.

Moving on --- now is the perfect time to talk about what you eat. Come back and we'll talk about why it is important to eat healthy.
